SEO

We often see pages on websites with a link list or index of all the pages of the Website. In SEO language, this is called a Sitemap. These pages help not only the users but also Search Engine bots/spider to read all the pages easily from a single Page.

Wikipedia describes Sitemap as:

A Site Map (or sitemap) is a representation of the architecture of a web site. It can be either a document in any form used as a planning tool for web design, or a web page that lists the pages on a web site, typically organized in hierarchical fashion. This helps visitors and search engine bots find pages on the site.

This helps Search Engine Bots Scroll the pages and content of the website easily. Site maps use an XML format language to describe Web site content, and a Java SGF (Structured Graph Format) viewer to interact with the data.
