Are you ready for Bing ? Seems an old story ? Just another new Search Engine on Internet that will be die fairly soon. What ever.. This is just a new name for Windows Live Search with some new strategies Microsoft is following.
Here’s How to get your Website ready for Bing :
Bing Respects Well Formed html code : so keep your site clean. Check your site at HTTP Compression and HTTP conditional Test Tool or W3c Markup validation tool.
Set Redirect for 404 pages :
Bing respects the validity conditions and reason you delete few page. Bing loves Redirect than 404 page not found.
Allow MSNBot:
MSNBot is bing crawler, do allow it to come to your website, your respect to Bing bot gives page score to your webpage.
Keep URL Static and Simple :
Last but not least. Keep your Webpage URLs at least simple if not static, There is special section in Bing Webmaster Centre for Crawl issues of Long dynamic URLs. So be aware of that.
If you think you are ready, then why not submit your website to Bing ?? It may be already crawled if not submit it personally over here.
Not happy with simple submit button then go through Bing Webmaster Center to check Issues between bing and your website and resolve them easily

I actually like Bing. Probably because it’s the only search engine at my school that doesn’t have the images function blocked!
My sites are already receiving very little traffic from Bing. Maybe it will increase as some things change, but I’m still loyal to the G Man.

Bing to me is overrated. I don’t think it will really generate me much traffic honestly. Still, it is good to optimize your blog for it. Thanks for the great tips.

my initial test result shows that Bing is as good as Google when displaying relevant search results. Google might be having a tough competitor with Microsofts own search engine.

A lot of people like Google but maybe Bing will be the next competitor for Google and as user we will benefit the most.

most search engines use a method to check how many sites have links to yours. The more sites that link to yours the more popular it will be..

i am using both Bing and Google and i think both search engines give relevant search results. i would still prefer Google though, because it gives a little bit more relevant search results than Bing.
